Obispo franco-chileno. Fue obsipo auxiliar emérito de Temuco y de la arquidiócesis de Puerto Montt. En esta última sede fue además administrador apostólico entre 1970 y 1974. Ese mismo año fue nombrado por el Cardenal Raúl Silva Henríquez obispo auxiliar de la arquidiócesis de Santiago.
