Documentalista chileno, comenzó su labor artística en la década de los '80 en el laboratorio de fotografía y cine de la Universidad de Chile. Trabajó junto a los investigadores de Antropología de la Universidad de Antofagasta, quienes lo impulsaron a registrar y difundir las manifestaciones culturales del Norte Grande. Fue uno de los realizadores que registró las actividades organizadas en la región por la visita de Juan Pablo II, en 1987.
