Estudió Periodismo y Canto y trabajó en el área cultural para televisión, radio y diferentes revistas. A causa de la dictadura militar, emigró a Alemania en 1983, donde vive en la actualidad. Fue corresponsal de la revista opositora Análisis y ha escrito para diferentes publicaciones. Desde 1986 toca con el Dúo Contraviento composiciones latinoamericanas y propias.
